Cat

This weekend the weather was nice and springish, so we decided to go for a walk.

With one of the cats.

Tusse, the birma, got chosen for it, since he's the most mild-mannered (or, differently put, wimpiest) of our three. He doesn't particularly object to wearing a harness and leash, and he's easy to carry. He, like the other two, has also been an indoors cat for the past eight years or so.

At first, he seemed to find the experience very upsetting. Everything was strange, it was chilly and his food bowl was nowhere to be found. Teh h0rr0r! As soon as we let him down to walk by himself, he headed straight for our front door (as long as we were close enough for him to see it) or under the nearest bush (later).

But we persevered, and fairly soon he seemed to decide that it was actually more interesting than scary. Lots of things to smell. And listen to. Strangely enough he didn't try to eat anything (this is the cat who in a previous life probably was a garbage disposal). He was called cute by a passing child, and a dog by a passing elderly couple. Maybe they weren't used to seeing leashed cats.

Lolpicture

I know that the whole lolcat thing is pretty old hat these days, but this image popped into my head a couple of weeks ago and refuses to leave. So I'm inflicting it on you people. Please tell me what you think.

The picture is behind the cut. )
