Jansson

One piece of food that's common during Swedish Christmas gluttony is something called Janssons Frestelse (literally "Jansson's Temptation"), which is basically a potato gratin with the potatoes julienned instead of sliced and a few anchovies added. Also, you usually eat it kinda warm rather than hot. It's very tasty, and as a bonus it's excellent hangover food for the day after.
