Don't know how to number these episodes. This one was first on the DVDs as an 80-minute pilot, but was episodes 11 and 12 according to TvTome...

Anyway, it was nifty. And where do I find the Inara/Kaylee slash? 'Cause there's got to be some. "She's very precious to... us."

It was conceived as the pilot, but the suits at the network said it was dull, and made Josh give 'em The Train Job instead. I think it was aired towards the end of the run in the US. A couple of the other eps didn't make it to air at all. Network suits suck.

Try crack_van's memories for Inara/Kaylee. There was also an Inara/Kaylee/Mal on polyfic recently IIRC.
