Worry

Fell asleep round midnight. Woke up at 4am and couldn't get back to sleep. I've been getting through this damn week only because I thought I'd be getting som competent help soon, and right before I went home yesterday my boss' boss hinted that he might block the hiring of the replacement guy I've been waiting for. If he really does, I'm going to demand that he decide which system to shut down, the main customer one (with over a million end-user accounts on it) or the corporate financial system. Because I can't run them both. It's just not possible. For every day that passes, I get another half day behind.

Good news for me

Replacement guy is Allowed. Contract all signed from our side, now we're just waiting for his signature. Which should be no problem, since he's already said yes and he'll get paid what he asked for.

So, tentatively: YES!
