So now we've had a meeting with the vendor who sold us the "backup solution" that I've been wrestling with for the past four weeks or so. They weaseled a lot, so we didn't get to just go "Fsck you and the horses you rode in on". Yet. Oh well. They'll keep trying to make the damn thing work, which I'm not entirely sure is even possible with the way they've designed it. I'd love to redesign it from scratch, but that'd probably cost too much at this point.

Looking through the weblogs at cyberPoMo, I find...
...that for the first time in several months "disestablishmentarianism" isn't among the ten most common search terms that led people to my site.
...that links to my site has appeared in fanfic linkfarms that I had no idea existed. I like that.
...that people have written in characters from Smallville, Twin Peaks and The West Wing when using the random character mix generator. Maybe I should add one or more of those to the available choices?
...the one site that has downloaded the largest amount of data from me this month is the Swedish Royal Library's project for archiving all Swedish web sites.
