The Two Towers

We finally got around to seeing TTT. Impressions a couple of hours afterwards:

• It's visually amazing.
• The ents were fairly disappointing. And the one that got set on fire at Isengard looked like Zadok from One Over Zero.
• Legolas is way, way cool. That horse-mounting stunt alone was worth a shitload of coolness points. Actually, I think Legolas rolled the "You pull a move so awesomely cool that all opponents spend the next round stunned" critical result from RoleMaster in that scene.
• Gandalf is a bloody drama queen. What was with that sunrise stunt anyway?
• Gollum is far and away the best computer-animated character yet.
• Seeing Caesar from Xena leading a bunch of Rohirrim was... bizarre.
• If there isn't Arwen/Eowyn slash, there should be. Just because.
