Mithril Awards?

Apparently my story To Sleep, Perchance to Dream has been nominated for something called a Mithril Award, and not been tossed out in the first screening. I vaguely recall someone on my friends list talking about an award by that name, but I really have no idea what it's all about. Could someone please enlighten me? Should I be proud, ashamed or indifferent?
