Of course there's a gate there

The other day jennyaxe and I got to talking about places where there might be Stargates, and who to slash with who when SG-1 & the gang ends up there.

First there must be one in a Federation research facility somewhere. Orac will hear about some possible new super-stardrive and, well, things go downhill from there. Pairings: Avon/Teal'c (imagine the dialog, and nag Jenny until she writes this), Jack/Tarrant, Sam/Dayna, Daniel/Orac. Possibly Janet/Cally. On the Fed side, Servalan/Hathor.

At some point or another, someone hires Mal to transport this big, round old sculpture: Jack/Mal, Sam/Zoe, Janet/Inara (or maybe Janet/Inara/Kaylee), Daniel/Jayne and Teal'c/River.

There's this old temple ruing somewhere north of Greece, with a big, round thing right at the altar: Sam/Ephiny, Janet/Gabrielle (Xena is off moping), Jack/Autolycus, Teal'c/Ares and Daniel/Joxer.

After she's no longer The Slayer, Buffy decides to join the Air Force. Willow comes along. Eventually, Sam gets to take care of this trio of very bright and troublesome students, and we get random permutations of Sam/Buffy/Willow/Jennifer Hailey. Dawn ends up in the same class as Cassandra, and they snog in the ladies' room. Giles and Daniel have read each other's articles and find out they get along just fine. Xander gets a bad case of hero-worship for Jack. Teal'c ends up with Spike, and neither of them wants to talk about how it happened.

(At this point there was a long digression about vampire demons being Goa'uld who botched Ascending, and Ancient vase-like artifacts that store and project impressions of dying people's memories and personalities at Medenham Public School, which happens to be right near the place where Giles and Willow stayed at the start of season seven...)

They find this large ring-shaped artifact in the ruins of an old Shadow base, and take it back to Babylon 5. Sam/Ivanova, Daniel/G'Kar, Janet/Lyta, Jack/Garibaldi and Teal'c/Delenn.
