Surprise

I was standing in the subway station, reading a book while waiting for the train to arrive. It did, and when I saw out of the corner of my eye that it had stopped I lifted my eyes from the book (which is Tim Powers' On Stranger Tides) -- and looked straight into a Stargate.

There was a moment of "WTF?"

Then I noticed that it was too small, had Swedish writing on it and quite uncharacteristically opened by sliding aside into halves with a loud pneumatic belch. Apparently one of the local channels are picking up Stargate Atlantis, and really want people to know it.
