Not so nice character

This Friday and Saturday featured the latest installment of the sorta-WoD roleplaying campaign that I've talked about several times before. As you probably don't remember, my character got his skull bashed in by a werewolf tripping on mescaline last time, so this time I had a new one (who was introduced during the last half hour of the previous session, but that hardly counted). This slightly paraphrased and translated quote describes her rather well:

GM to nordgren: "So what do you do?"
nordgren: "I just sit here and watch the Bronx pimp hit on the sadistic dyke with the three-foot razor and the impulse control problem."

Yukiko is heavily inspired by Kill Bill O-Ren/GoGo slash and PeeJee from Something Positive, with all the related negative stereotypes turned up to eleven. If that sounds like something likely to insult/disturb/bore you, don't look behind the cut.

Yukiko was born into a Yakuza clan. From a very early age, she showed remarkable (almost supernatural) aptitude for martial arts in general and swordfighting in particular, so quite contrary to tradition she got trained as an enforcer. Thoroughly trained. Since she was about four years old, she's never been more than a few steps away from her sword. Until she was sixteen, she lived in the kenjutsu dojo. After that, she started getting missions, so she was occasionally sent out into the world. She does have a basic education and she's quite intelligent, but she's far from well-educated. Her upbringing has been old-fashioned Japanese as far as possible, which has made her quite racist. She's also completely homosexual, but has for most of her life had no way to express that. Worse, since she's very good-looking and living in an almost exclusively male environment, she's often had to strongly (not seldom violently) reject unwanted amorous advances. Ergo, large amounts of frustration and not-so-repressed anger. Which probably made her a better enforcer.

About six months ago she got sent to London, to work for the Far East fraction of the supernaturals there. In London, she got a reasonably nice flat, a nice black motorcycle -- and a whole lot of freedom.

Now, Yukiko's image of gaijin (that is, non-Japanese people) was that they were filthy, immoral, depraved, lazy, treacherous and worthless. Very soon after arriving in London (probably while still at Heathrow after disembarking the plane from Tokyo) she found out another thing about them: some of them were really, really attractive. Not in a partner-for-life way, of course, since they are after all not real people. But in an "I want to rip your clothes off and play with your body all night" way.

It didn't take her long to find out about nightclubs. After that, even less to find out about gay nightclubs. And once she did that, she really started making up for all her years of involuntary celibacy. She may have all the social graces of a raging rhinoceros, but she's beautiful enough that she manages to pick someone up most nights. She doesn't care about relationships, and dumping the girls she picks up the morning after doesn't bother her in the least. They are, after all, only gaijin, so they don't really matter...

Another thing that Yukiko found out after a few of weeks of intense nightlife was that she gets off on hurting people who like to be hurt. Just plain hurting people doesn't do anything for her (although she certainly doesn't mind hurting people, after all it's what she's been training all her life to do!), but doing it and seeing the victim enjoy it turns her on something fierce. So, after a tip from the first gaijin girl she found who really liked getting spanked, the gay nightclubs got further specialised into lesbian-only S&M clubs. With her interrogation training and her intimate and detailed knowledge of exactly what a human body can and cannot take, Mistress Tanaka has in only a couple of months became quite well-known and fairly sought-after in those specialised circles.

In the daytime world, Yukiko has just started working for the supernatural cooperation group, Second Sight Investigations. She suspects that that was why she really got sent to London. It's a nice enough job. Maybe not as many opportunities for quality violence as she'd like, but she gets paid and meets a lot of interesting gaijin girls, so she's really not complaining.

All in all, Yukiko is having the time of her life.

I think I warmed to her automatically when you cited PeeJee from S*P as an inspiration - given that I suspect I'm the lesbian equivalent of her...

Suddenly it feels quite good that you're a long way away :-)

And I'm not sure how much of PeeJee really survived into the character as played.
