Hmm, it's a shame Companions are allowed to be choosy about clients, otherwise you could get Saffron rich (or convincingly so) and horny and vengeful, and Inara going along with it because it's her job.

Maybe Saffron scams one of Inara's former clients, that Inara now dislikes (Atherton Wing comes to mind, or the father from Jaynestown, or an OC), and Inara comes to admire/desire Saffron as a result?
