Saffron rocks. And she's hot. Now, how to semi-plausibly set her up with Inara... Them pretty much detesting each other makes it a bit of a challenge.

Inara does comment that Saffron has had some training. Maybe it was from Inara, or at the same time as Inara's.

If it was, then she'd recognise Saffron. As is it, she recognises Companion techniques being used on her. So, given that Saffron doesn't seem to use elaborate disguises, I can't really see her and Inara ever having met before "Our Mrs. Reynolds".
