You don't know how much better it makes me feel to hear that somebody else has trouble with plotting. Though it doesn't help you much, I know.

As another one with severe plotting problems, I sympathise. Characters? No sweat. Dialogue? Easy. Description? Rolls off my fingers. But what they do and in what order and why ... Aaargh!!

The teach-yourself type books are no bloody use at all, or least so I've found.
