Apple more than makes up for the slightly late iBook delivery

As many of you guessed from my previous post, I got my new iBook yesterday. Which coincidentally was also the day when Apple released their new, faster and cheaper iBooks...

So, spurred by comments in the MacOS X community here on LJ, I just called Apple about it. The practicalities of it is that by Swedish law I have the right to return this machine for a full refund within two weeks of getting it. So I could, in theory, just return this one and buy a faster one for about 2500 SEK (about 180 UKP) less. But this would be a bother both for me (who'd have to spend more time laptop-less) and for Apple (who'd have a pretty much unsellable piece of hardware on their hands). So I asked if they could possibly consider just refunding me the price difference between what I paid and what it costs today.

And they just said "Sure, no problem". Which makes me happy, since that should easily pay for the extra RAM I was going to buy for it anyway :-)

Also, after less than 24 hours of experience with it, I like MacOS X. A lot. To they point where I'm seriously considering replacing my current stationary box with an iMac, as soon as I scrape together the money for it.
