Lovely stuff. Reminds me, have you ever see a French film called D'Artagnan's Daughter? Wonderfully silly swashbuckling film which for some reason has only ever been available on video and laserdisc, but has been shown on British TV at least once. It has Sophie Marceau as the daughter and Charlotte Kady as the villainess, with some very slashy interactionm between them. Great fun.

I haven't seen that one. Sophie Marceau being slashy ranks high on the interest scale, though, and it turns out to be available on DVD (in french with swedish subtitles!). For only five pounds. I think I'll order that one.

If it has English subtitles too I'll want to order it for myself. I should make it clear that it's a few slashy moments, not a major part of the story. Though there is a dungeon sequence with her chained to the wall...

It doesn't. It has Swedish, Norwegian, Danish and Finnish subtitles.
