sassia came her last night. What she said about what she'd seen in Edinburgh yesterday afternoon when she was leaving for Stockholm meshes a lot better with the Indymedia reports than the official news reports.
Judging by the reports in the Evening News and the Metro, you'd think the place had been reduced to a smoking hole in the ground on a par with Sunnydale. It hasn't.
FWIW, one of the people in my reading group was wandering round the city centre yesterday afternoon for a couple of hours. She left the centre when she felt it was getting scary, not because of the protesters, but because of the local yobs turning up, the ones looking for a fight.
