Institutionalized Vampirism

Today when I went out to lunch, there was a blood donation bus parked outside the usual lunch place. With [livejournal.com profile] jennyaxe's recent adventures in mind, I went in and registered as a donor. Which is something I've been thinking that I really should do for I don't know how many years now.

It still bugs me I'm not allowed to donate blood. I tried some years ago but showed antibodies for jaundice which makes me unfit as a donor. I've never had jaundice but the doctors claim that you only have antibodies if you have. Oh well, I've tried at least...

The vampires are really nice people XD

I used to give blood 2-3 times a year, started when I was allowed at 18, dragged friends and SOs along when I could. Of course, now I'm in the States, they don't want my blood because they think I have BSE, so I get to keep it all for myself.

Nice!

Be content with that you will be doing a very good job! And necessary one too! What blood type are you (if that isnt too private)? I would have continued donating if it wasnt for the breast-feeding my son issue. But as soon as he is weened I will take it up again!
