Status Report

The backup robot was only 20% broken, rather than the 100% broken it as has been every Monday for the past few months. A definite step in the right direction.

I've spent a significant part of the day surfing info pages about GTA3, and now I want to go home and play, dammit. Would've surfed for FFX info as well, only I don't want any spoilers for that one.

The company I work for just bought another company, a typical dotcom ISP that was on its last breath before total bankruptcy. It may be a good thing. We certainly get a lot of high-quality network for far less than it cost to build it.

Myself and my friend phil were able to get to near the end with no problems. For the extra stuff and side quests, we consulted a faq because wel otherwise it would have taken forever. You are not given more than one shot to get all of the al-bhed dictionaries. And we just could not find the last jecht sphere so...that might be faq-worthy for you.

As for driving, driving is a good skill to have. Especially if you want to go on holiday somewhere. I didn't learn until I was 22, and the age for driving is on average 16 here. But now that you are ready, you will do fine. hugz purrrrrrrrrrr

I'll probably read a FAQ eventually, when I've finished the game once and/or decided that the plot is boring (as it was in FF9). So far (six hours into the game) I rather like it. It's more like FF7 than either 8 or 9 was. That's a good thing, FF7 was a very good game.

Well, I own a car and my wife drives, so I haven't really needed it. Also, I live in a city with pretty good public transport. The main reason that I'm finally learning how to drive is that sometimes my wife's illness makes it impossible for her to drive. No fun if that'd happen while we're a long way from home...
