Randomness
Apr. 26th, 2006 09:17 amOn the way to work, I for some reason suddenly remembered one of the best jokes I've ever seen in a TV series. It's from, of all things, the fairly dismal Kung Fu: the Legend Continues. In some episode, Caine has been helping out the locals in the Chinese area of some US city, and after all that is done an old Chinese man with a long white beard comes up to him.
"I want you to have this," the old man says and hands over a package wrapped in brown paper. "It's passed through my family for generations."
Caine graciously accepts the gift, unwraps the paper and reveals... an electric wok. He looks at the old man with an expression of total confusion. The old man looks back at him with an utterly deadpan expression and says:
"I got it from my nephew who got it from his son."
