Towards the end of today's harp lession, LHT asked if I could do her a small favour and listen while she played a piece. Which she wanted to do because she's applying for a job, for which she needs to audition. And for the audition she'll play a piece that appropriately shows off her skill. That she wanted to practice a time or two in front of a friendly audience.

So she did.

And fuck me, do I ever have a lot to learn.

Actually, she's at the level that requires several hours of practice each day just to retain, and I don't think I'd want to go that far even if I could. Which I couldn't. I'm nowhere near coordinated enough for that. With more practice I hope to be able to properly play different things with each hand. Doing one thing with the left hand, two with the right hand (one with the fingers and one with the thumb) and a fourth with the feet (as she did yesterday), is... I'm not sure "hard" even begins to describe it.
