Upgrading

In preparation for the new kitten (we're supposed to get him on Friday!), I more or less on impulse bought a new camera. The old one is in its ninth year, which is like several lifetimes in digital camera terms. So now I have a Panasonic DMC-FS20. Which is actually not brand spanking new, since they were clearing them out and this was their demo one. Which pretty much only means that I got a 1GB memory card for free with it.

Anyway, it seems nifty enough.

No, but then neither was the camera. The card was roughly a 5% cut on a price that was already lower than anything I've been able to find online. And given that you can't actually tell that it's not totally new (it's been sitting in a locked display case without even a battery inserted), it was hard to argue for more.
