When did Cordelia lose her virginity, and to who? Buffy lost hers to Angel, Xander lost his to Faith, Willow lost hers to Oz, but what about Cordelia? She didn't get it on with Xander, obviously. And it seems doubtful that she would've slept with any of the guys she dated while she was at Sunnydale High. By the time she ends up in Pylea, she sure acts like she's a sexually active young woman when Groo shows up. So who, and when?

Date: 2003-07-23 10:06 pm (UTC)But a lot of people seem to think "Expecting" was the first time. Which doesn't really work for me, because, dude, Cordelia? Queen Of Everything in high school. And you can't exactly be Queen Of Everything if you haven't had the sex. It's not right, but it's true.

Date: 2003-07-24 12:27 am (UTC)He wasn't her boyfriend, though--it's fresh in my mind because that episode was on Space yesterday ;-D--she had a thing for him but he figured he was too good for her. And Cordelia really doesn't strike me as the sort of person who'd have sex in such unflattering circumstances, even in junior high.

Date: 2003-07-24 01:44 am (UTC)My guess, for what it's worth, is that she lost her technical virginity to some nameless frat-boy or to Devon, and that it was messy and unfun. But who knows, maybe Jonathan was good for something apart from bringing coffee.
OTOH it is perfectly possible to have a reputation for sex without actually doing it, and exploit it rather than be hurt by it. And there are all the varieties of deniable sex. I would have thought, though, that if it had been as late as 'Expecting', she would have said something.
