Looking through the WIPs

cdybedahlA look at my fanfic repository shows that 155435 words out of 195069 are published (at cyberPoMo, that is). That's just under 80%. I thought I had far more old, neglected WIPs than that. So let's see what old stuff is there...
The Warrior's Long Shadow. An X:WP alternate universe story, based around what might have happened if Xena had stayed dead when she died the first time (in the second-season episode "Destiny"). Featuring Gabby as an Amazon Queen (of course), an immortal Callisto who has problems accepting the fact that the one person who gave her life some kind of meaning isn't around any more, and Velasca as a fanatical follower of Queen Gabrielle. Got quite a bit (8000 words) before it faltered and died, would require a total re-write to get going again.
Return of Callisto (AU). Callisto breaks out of jail and goes for Xena's weakest spot. Unlike in the aired episode, she gets to Gabby quite a bit earlier and kills Perdicus while he and Gabby are sleeping in their bridal bed. After which she decides that the best way to hurt Xena is to get medieval on Gabrielle's cute little ass. And I basically changed my mind about writing this one and abandoned it.
Russian Auronar. The sequel to Heroes Lost, in which Ivanova insists that she has to go to Auron and see the recently deceased Cally's sister. Suffers badly from over-weirdness. I may keep working on it some day.
Legends. A very-much-PastGP Blake's 7 story, in which the exploits of Blake and his gang has reached mythic status. In here are a few of the myths. Quite fun, but hard work to write. I fully intend to finish it some day.
Duet for Rebel and Youth. Shouldn't really be in this list, since it is far more finished than anything else I've ever written. Which means that it's not only finished, it's actually edited and rewritten and stuff. It's also published in an actual dead-tree fanzine by the name of Sleer as Folk. Anyway, it's another PGP B7 story, in which Dayna has survived the mess at Gauda Prime, is planning to assassinate Servalan and die in the attempt. However, a young girl who wants to be a rebel and an old rebel who doesn't want to be any more messes up her pure and simple plan quite a bit.
Tail of the Dragon. A crossover between X:WP and S M Stirling's Draka series. Not so much a begun story as a long scribbling down of an idea. Would, like all my other X:WP stories, focus mainly on Gabrielle, and in this case what happens to her after the series ends.
The Memory of Anna. A story about Servalan's youth, as told by herself. Love, sex, ambition and betrayal, just as you would expect from the particular lady's background. Assumes that Servalan is lying through her teeth when she talks about her life in "Sand". Got stuck in a slow part of the narrative, probably needs the last thousand words or so rewritten to get going again. But I really want to get it finished.
Twelve Minutes and Counting. Shortly after the Angel gang returns from Pylea, Cordelia goes to Caritas for a drink or seven after a messy day at work -- and finds Faith on the stage. Angst and eventually sex ensues. A plain C/F story without any saving grace whatsoever. Probably isn't worth the effort to complete.
The President and the Commander. Part eleven of Spacerebels of Gor. Smut and silliness. Intended to be humorous. Read the first ten parts if you want to know more. They're short, all of them together is less than one of the longer parts of Librarian Attack Force.
Waiting for her steps. Wallowing in angst after the end of the sixth season of Buffy (as if the season itself didn't do enough of that...). Just started, may abandon. We'll see.
Chase vs. Chase. A now fixed bug in the Random Character Mix Generator gave me the pairing of Cordelia/Cordelia. Something like that, I just had to give a shot. Just started, will be continued some day when my mind is feeling particularly gutter-attuned (the generator can still give you Livia/Eve, which is actually stranger).
Sex, Drugs and Rock'n'roll. Librarian Attack Force part six. If things go according to plan, the concluding part of the L-Space Nexus plotline.
So. That's that. Which one do you suggest I put some work on next?
