Today I bought...

  • Three sheets of the finest sandpaper I could find
  • Vernier calipers
  • A set of drill bits
  • A small vise
  • Masking tape
  • Boiled linseed oil
  • Turpentine

Personal. I'm going to try to make a handle for the athame blade I made last week.

Although I can think of many things at work that would be vastly improved by liberal application of turpentine and a match.

I think somebody is going to make a handle for his athame... :-)

I borrowed all the books on knifemaking that our library had. It doesn't seem that difficult, since it doesn't have to bear any load to speak of.

No it isn't that hard really. Allthough, my experience is that the trickiest part is to get a design that's nice and then to get it to actually look like the design on the drawing. But you managed it nicely with the blade so I think you will manage just fine!

Will turpentine and a match solve a bad cough do you think? *wonders*
