General update
Sep. 1st, 2003 09:27 pmTo begin with: Angel 4x19 "The Magic Bullet". Sheesh, why don't they just waste the kid and be done with it? Has he done anything except mess up and cause trouble?
Anyway.
This weekend we went up to my grandfather's old (built ~1800) house in Dalarna, to have a crayfish party with my mother, my sister with her boyfriend and their two sons, my brother, my mother's boyfriend (or whatever you should call it when they're both closing in on 60), one of his sons and said son's very pregnant girlfriend. Since my brother is a fishing fanatic, he'd been out getting fresh crayfish for us all, so we had a ridiculous amount of the tasty little critters to eat (really, it must've been around 40 each). The weather was on the cool side, but overall it was very nice. I ended up staying awake until 4am talking religion with my sister.
And today I've been running errands, mostly. Got stuff from the pharmacy, dropped off the latest paperwork from the doctor at the national insurance people, returned knifemaking books to the library, things like that. Took much longer than I'd planned, due to the pharmacy's sucky new queuing system.
Oh, and while I ate breakfast I watched the pilot episode of Stargate SG-1. Which was better than I expected, so I'll watch at least a few more episodes.
Anyway.

At some point I did try to pick out a gateway episode for SG-1, but decided that Children of the Gods was about as good as one could get without having to fill in masses of backstory. So I'm glad it didn't completely put you off ;)

Are you watching DVDs or downloads?

Date: 2003-09-01 02:33 pm (UTC)Rumour has it the whole series will be released towards the end of this year.
But it was too short-lived to be a good replacement for Buffy.
True. And it was just plain too short-lived.
