DIE! DIE! DIE DIE DIE DIE DIIIIIIEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oops, sorry, typo, I tend to get distracted what with all this desperately treading water and fetishistically recounting my 33 704 words hoping that they will be fruitful and multiply. I meant to say "Congratulations, good on you, you wordy fellow you, the last thing in the world I would want is for you to DIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!"
The counter script runs at 11:50pm sharp, and however many words I have written by then is what gets posted. This daily deadline has actually been a great motivator. I wrote almost a thousand words in the last half hour before it yesterday.
And there's still a fair bit of story to go, so I think I'll end up somewhere around 55k words.
I'm still far, far slower than themerovingian who had her first 50k words done by Thursday the 6th. But I think I've done pretty well anyway. Although we'll see if I still think that once I try to read what I've written :-)
50k in a week... That's just astonishing. I just wrote a 50k piece, and it took me seven weeks.
I think I've done pretty well anyway. Although we'll see if I still think that once I try to read what I've written :-)
I thought the challenge was to hit the word count! I think you've done amazingly. If you're going to carry on writing, I hope we still get to see those progressbots. I'll miss them off my friends page.
Well, yes, that is the challenge. But so far I have a feeling that the story is actually not at all bad, it'd be a nice bonus if that's really the case.
