So
jennyaxe and I finally went and saw Kill Bill, vol. 1.
It rocked. In the particular sub-(or possibly meta-)-genre of "Women kick ass", this is sure to be a classic. The plot was rather thin but still much better than that of, for example, Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle. And it was stylish. Dear Goddess it was stylish. When it comes to looking cool beyond words, Kill Bill is the movie that the Matrix movies want to become when they grow up. The swordfight between The Bride and O-Ren Ishii in the snowy garden was just beautiful. Uma Thurman was surprisingly good at playing an utter badass, too. I'll be seeing volume 2 as soon as it comes out, that's for sure.
And O-Ren was so boinking Sofie Fatale and Gogo every chance she got.
