Unexpected bonus

Very unexpectedly, mine (and [livejournal.com profile] jennyaxe's) employers have decided to give a lot of their employees bonuses. Including both Jenny and me. In the form of some plain money and a gift certificate. A gift certificate worth 2500 SEK (that's currently about 320 US$). That happens to be usable at, among a lot of other places, Edsbacka Krog, which is the only restaurant in the Stockholm region with two stars in the Guide Rouge (formerly the Michelin Guide). And we have our second wedding anniversary coming up next month.

I think we're going to have us a really nice anniversary dinner.

That was a nice thing of your employers to do. :^) Happy anniversary, and I hope you have a great celebration. Sounds like it'll be yummy!

Lucky you! Well, have fun! Two stars.....is that like five stars back in the US?

I'm not sure. The Guide Rouge only works in Europe, and their highest rating is three stars. Which they define as a place good enough that it's worth making a journey to another country just to visit it. Two stars is "good enough to make a serious detour for if you happen to be in the same country". I think there are fifteen or so three-star places in all of Europe, most of them in France.

Go for it. Hope you enjoy.
