Does anyone else here have the region 2 Buffy season 7 DVD box? If so, is your copy of episode 20 ("Touched") complete? Because mine is missing about a minute. And it's that minute. The one with all the bedroom-type scenes. It starts to fade from Spike and Buffy into Faith and the principal, then there's a bit of MPEG artifact blur and whoops we're back at Buffy and Spike and the scene is over. Also, the MPEG stream timecode jumps forward about a minute, so it really looks like there's a bit missing. What I want to know if this is a very unfortunately placed flaw in just my disc (so I can complain and get it replaced), or if it's censorship and all discs are the same? I'll be quite disappointed if it's the latter.

ETA: ex-Blackstar (now sendit.com) says that they haven't had a flood of complaints, so it's probably just my disc that's faulty and they'll replace it.

There's a long and involved thread on uk.media.tv.buffy-v-slayer about this very problem. If you search Google Groups for the words "DVD""Authoring" "Error" and "Touched" you should find it.

I think I know the episode you mean, though I'm not the biggest Buffy fan ever.
I watched it on cough SVCD captured off-air, and it had the bits you mention.
I suspect copies can be found about the place...

Oh, I have it on captured MPEG-file. But I really, really want to get proper DVD screencaps of the Willow/Kennedy bits. Even with SVCD the image quality is quite shoddy once you take it down to still images.

I've asked a cow-orker who received his copy of the DVD today to check, he'll do that in a day or two.
