So. Since I got me this thing I should write something in it, right?

To begin with, please forgive me if the formating of this sucks. I have yet to figure out how LiveJournal munges what I write into what gets shown on the webpage. I have yet to figure out a great many things. Some of them related to LiveJournal.

I could start this presentation thingy by listing a lot of facts about myself, like how tall I am and what colour my eyes are. But that would be dull, so I won't. Such physical characteristics don't say much about a person anyway, and they certainly don't say much that's relevant in an online medium. But still, people like to have an image in their mind of who they're talking to, so I probably ought to give you something. For the moment, I will give you this: all my clothes are black, except for three of my four ritual robes which are respectively red, blue and dark green.

Having written that, I should get on to things that do matter online, don't you think, dear Reader? Right. The first thing that may matter is that this is not my native tongue. If I sound strange, use peculiar or erroneous grammar, misuse idiom or wildly mix UK and US words and phrases, it is most likely because of my less than perfect grasp of English. I hope you will find my ramblings possible to read in spite of this. I will appreciate it if you point out my mistakes. I always want to learn better.

And by way of written ramblings, I segue nicely into one of the things I thought I'd use this thing for when I got the activation code from Red Drag Diva: fanfic. I write fanfic. That's short for fan fiction, if you're unfamiliar with the term. What it is, is fans of something writing fiction using settings and characters from whatever it is they're a fan of. In my case, it tends to be various TV series.

But I don't just write fanfic. I write erotic fanfic. That is, I write about characters from the TV series I like getting it on with each other. You know, those bits of the series that they for some silly reason won't show on TV. The "killing is all right, sex is right out" phenomenon. But let's save that rant for another time.

That's not narrow enough, though. I don't just write smutty fanfic. I write slash. Which, again if you're unfamiliar with the term, means erotic fan fiction where the characters getting it on are of the same gender. The most common is m/m (male/male, obviously) slash. So that's not what I write. I write f/f (you can figure that one out yourself, can't you?) slash. Which is also known as femslash.

Still not narrow enough! I'm also stupidly fond of crossovers. That is, mixing characters and/or settings from more than one TV series (or movie) in one story. So I write crossover f/f slash fanfic. Such as, for example, a story where Willow (from Buffy the Vampire Slayer) has sex with Gabrielle (from Xena: Warrior Princess).

The readership for this sort of story is not large, let me tell you. Maybe I'll find someone here who shares this esoteric taste. Maybe not. I write for my own amusement, anyway. Readers are a bonus.
