Chasing Shadows
Nov. 30th, 2003 09:12 pmThe fifth and last challenge story, posted mostly for reasons of
completeness since it sucks. Sorry about that, trixieleitz. Buffy, Faith, while they were body-switched and
involving a musical episode. I have interpreted "musical episode"
rather loosely. Fairly explicit, includes non-consensual elements, so
don't read if that squicks you.
Monstrous Regiment
Nov. 30th, 2003 10:32 pmThe enemy wasn't men, or women, or the old, or even the dead. It was just bleedin' stupid people, who came in all varieties. And no one had the right to be stupid.
I just finished reading Terry Pratchett's latest Discworl novel, Monstrous Regiment. It's really good. About on par with Small Gods and Hogfather, I'd say. Which means that it's not a front-to-back load of laughs, but that it's saying something really worth saying with a thin veener of comedy on top.
It's over!
Nov. 30th, 2003 11:08 pmNaNoWriMo is over!
Well, it's one hour left. In this timezone. But anyway, I'm not writing any more. Total verbiage this month, including the novel and all the stories I wrote after it, has been 71863 words. Which, near as damit, is still 2400 words a day.
Tomorrow I'm going to start reading the novel and marking all the bits that need fixing. When I've done that, we'll see if I fix it or burn it.
