Fic for the Multiverse Ficathon

While I was gone, the fics for the Multiverse Ficathon went up. Since mine has so far only got positive comments there, I thought I'd post here as well so you people can correct that ;-)

It's femslash (of course), crossing Firefly (specifically Inara) with the new Battlestar Galactica miniseries (specifically Starbuck). Rated PG at worst, 3200 words long. Also available on my website, as usual.

Content-less report

The more personal report from last week is behind a friends lock, but here are a few notes for the rest of you.

The stereotypical German efficiency does not exist in the former East Germany.

German supermarkets don't take VISA, Master Card or AmEx! Between those three we thought we'd get by most everywhere, but apparently not in such uncivilized wilderness as within 200 kilometers of Berlin.

The weather was hot. Very hot. And humid. And I haven't seen that many insects since I was up in the far north of Sweden (where the mosquitoes occasionally form visible clouds).

My estimation of German cuisine remains solidly at "Miserable or worse. Much worse". According to those who have been to many more of these conferences than I have, this one had the worst food ever. It was debated if the kitchen staff even knew what a vegetarian is.
