I just had an idea. Or I just stole one, to be more precise.
SJGames Pyramid Magazine just did another installment of their "Iron Ref" thing, where a number of writers get 24 hours to write a 2500-words-or-less roleplaying scenario featuring three elements revealed at the start of the contest. The results are then posted in the magazine, the readers vote on them and a winner is crowned. The whole thing is, of course, ripped off from the Iron Chef TV series (which I really wish they'd release on DVD, because what little I've seen of it was very amusing).
Now, it occurs to me that one could do the same with slashfic. At a certain time, I (or someone) posts three things to include in a fic. 24 hours later, the competitors post their results and the voting starts. 48 hours (or something like that) later, voting closes and the winner is announced. The person who chose the ingredients can, of course, not compete.
Would anybody be interested in doing this? If I get even a few positive responses here I'll set up a Buffy/Angel F/F Iron Slasher Contest in the pretty near future.
