After a very enjoyable weekend, sassia returned to Scotland late last night. It was a bit more interesting than usual to have her here this time, since we'd invited her to our Imbolc celebration, and we weren't really sure how a real Alexandrian HPS would react to our way of practicing. Fortunately, she liked it just fine (and we liked having her there, of course).

And today I've turned from one type of esoterica to another, and started programming MacOS X's Cocoa. It's kind of fun, so far. Much more detail-fiddling than in Perl, but not nearly as much as in pure
C. Also, a few levels of nested method calls in Objective C looks
reassuringly like Lisp.

Xena poll

If you were to try to get someone hooked on Xena, which episodes from season one would you show them? It's quite clear, I think, that you really want to get to the good stuff in season two as fast as possible, but without missing the necessary plot (and subtext!) from season one. So, which episodes do you show them? If you have problems remembering which episode is which, you can use the episode guides on Whoosh to refresh your memory.
