Why not do the "guess the song from the lyrics" thingy. These are the five (I was going to do ten, but numbers six to ten have lyrics in medieval German, Latin, Swedish or no lyrics at all) top-ranked non-Kate-Bush songs on my iPod at the moment. Guess by writing comments here or by psychically making writing appear on the wall closest to me. Some of these are probably unreasonably easy for [livejournal.com profile] jennyaxe and [livejournal.com profile] jegra.

1) "Unto this rotting age/I bid farewell".

2) "And with her heart she looked at me/saw me as a fellow being/It seems she was about to speak/of other worlds and times."

3) "She said do you remember a time when angels/Do you remember a time when fear?"

4) "Nothing but the knife to live for/One life all I need/Give me one good reason/Give me more..."

5) "And I know the world is cold but/If you hold on tight to what you/Find you might not mind too much."

While this probably counts as a publicity stunt, it's far and away the coolest such stunt I can remember hearing about:

Google gives students $4500 for finishing an Open Source project between June 14th and October 1st. The project in question must be approved and overseen by one of the participating organisations, and there are funds allocated for up to 200 projects. Follow the link for details.

The particpating organisations (so far) are...

...so the possible choices of projects aren't particularly limited. Personally, I'd love to see some of that money go towards Pugs and the implementation of Perl 6.
