A poster on the boards on Steve Jackson Games's online magazine Pyramid said that "Any movie can be improved by the addition of a lesbian love scene." An interestin theory, but I'm not sure I'm convinced of its validity. So I turn to the teeming hordes of my friends list[1] to help me find out. Or something. Below here a number of movies are listed. For each one of them, the question is "Would this movie have been improved by the addition of a lesbian love scene?" The movies in question are a more or less random selection from my personal DVD database.

I don't know about lesbian love scenes, but I do know any movie can be improved by the addition of robots. Scientific fact.

I thought Being John Malkovitch and Barbarella already had lesbian sex scenes. Memory playing tricks again.

Barbarella doesn't, as far as I can remember. Some slashy interaction between Barbarella and the evil queen, but no sex. As for Malkovic, I think it's a matter of definition since while it is the minds of two women one of the bodies involved is John's.

I picked "No" for a fair amount 'cause some of them are seriously masculine movies, and trying to throw a lesbian sex scene in there would be like throwing a nice het romance into But I'm A Cheerleader (which, by the way, Best. Trick. Question. Ever.).

Plus, I cry at the thought of Veronica Cartwright slash. Just...ew! Couldn't've been Aliens or Alien Resurrection for Ripley slash? 'cause, c'mon! C'mon!

Well, the original statement said "any movie". Which clearly isn't true, I just felt like making a silly poll of it.

Alien Resurrection clearly would be better for lesbian sex. AFAIK, it's the only one of the four movies for which slash has been written. Aliens... Ripley/Alien Queen might be kind of interesting, in a sick sort of way.

Vasquez and Ripley are almost too perfect a choice. I don't read femslash but... well Vasquez is fantastic.

I just keep scritching my head and wondering who the heck Catwoman should've shagged:)... not the bimbo, I hope... and hell, Pitch Black? Claudia Black/any one of the other women would be hot.
