Question for the serious Buffy fans

Where in California is Sunnydale located? Specifically, how far is it from San Diego?

Well, judging that it's generally figured to be in Santa Barbara...about 220 miles. Which, according to Yahoo Maps, will take three and a half hours to drive, but counting in traffic, more like five.

Hm. That should mean that any explosion that is described as destroying San Diego probably wouldn't bother Sunnydale much.
