I liked that one a lot. I kind of kept expecting Sapphire and Steel to show up in the church, but that's not at all a bad thing.

Yes -- I was wondering where they were. Of all the "historical" Whos, this weas, I think, perhaps the most "Irregular", and the characterisation of Time as waiting to Break Through was extremely S&S.
Also the Doctor's insistence that old things resisted better -- I could almost hear Sapphire's calm assessment-to-the-minute of the age of the door, stone and glass of the church.
