Complaining about work

A salescritter at EMC managed to send a mail that was more than twenty thousand times larger than it needed to be, by sending a single word followed by a number as a PowerPoint presentation. He thereby totally wipes out the old highscore, which has been held by a secretary at Ericsson since 1998 (she sent the word "Cake!" as a BillWord document, managing an unnecessary size increase of ten thousand times).

The tape robot managed to have several different parts of itself stop talking to each other, which pretty effectively made it stop working. A reboot later it's talking to itself again, but the incident sure didn't increase my confidence in the sodding thing.

Hello my friend, it appears we might be royally fucked in the land of the puppet government here.

Maryland remained mostly dem though, as per usual.

What are the immigration rules for Sweden, and is there a great need for EFL teachers? Just compiling data here.

For non-EU people, it's kinda a tough. You must have a written job offer from a Swedish company, that job must offer more than a certain minimum salary and you must have arranged for somewhere to live. I don't know what EFL is, so I can't say if there's a great need for teachers in/about it.

Or you could marry a Swedish citizen...

I don't know that much about US politics, but I've heard great disappointment from a great many directions today, so I guess it was a pretty bad result?

EFL = English as a Foreign Language

Bad very bad results.

The New Senate
Democrats 47
Republicans 51
Independents 1
Undeclared 1

The New House
Democrats 203
Republicans 227
Independents 1
Undeclared 4

This basically means Bush can do whatever he wants, because there is no balance.

Suddenly watching Babylon 5 hits too close to home. :(

That doesn't sound good :-(

And I have no idea what the English teaching business is like here.
