Back

Well, it didn't take seven hours. And now the new machine is up, working and mostly configured as I want it.

Now to have a look at the new features in Tiger.

No, TIger is Apple's name for OSX 10.4.

10.3 was Panther, 10.2 was Jaguar. I don't remember what 10.5 is supposed to be, but some other kind of big cat.

10.5 is Leopard. This version is supposed to support Intel as well as PPC, so it might be a while coming.

Considering that developer builds of OSX/x86 is already available if you pay enough and sign enough NDAs (or get it off a warez site), I don't think it's all that unlikely that it'll be out roughly when they've said it will be. Which is summer next year.
