Back in '91, I was happy to have a dialup connection to a net-connected computer from my home. Having a real net connection seemed like a dream, and having a fast (like, megabits per second!) net connection like a pipe dream.
And right now I'm sitting in the countryside a few tens of kilometers outside Stockholm, with a wireless 54Mbit/s connection to an 8/1 Mbit/s ADSL line. In a place where all I can see through the window is fields and forest.
Or, well, that would be all I could see if it wasn't pitch black outside. But you see my point.
