For the masochistic
May. 5th, 2006 09:07 pmToday I finally recieved the microphone I ordered over a month ago. And here is the result of my first attempt at recording my harp. The volume is low, because there was a fair amount of noise in the background. And it's all of 22 seconds long. And the playing is wincingly bad.
But if nothing else you can hear what a Harpsicle sounds like.

(joking) BTW I did not hear your cat singing on the file ;)

Date: 2006-05-06 08:58 am (UTC)Listening to it again today, it isn't quite the same, but I was still inspired to look up Bran Boru's March on the web and found the sheet music to play.
It's a lovely tune. Wish I could play it on my recorder while you're playing it on your harp. (Are you likely to bring it to the next Redemption?)

Date: 2006-05-06 09:21 am (UTC)The only critique I can come up with is that it sounds a bit hesitant, as if you're not quite sure where the strings are. That happens to most beginners of all instruments, and will soon disappear with more practise.
Oh, and I agree with everyone, the harp sound is beautiful.
