As stolen from lots of people: I more or less cryptically describe a bunch of shows I like, and you try to guess which ones they are.

  1. The higher ones can't be used because they're unstable. Sapphire and Steel.
  2. Things get better for the protagonists for the first five episodes or so, then it's steadily downhill for the remaining 47. Blake's 7.
  3. Two women's love for each other overcome death. Repeatedly. Xena: Warrior Princess.
  4. Everybody keeps pretending it's just a normal town until all that's left is a hole in the ground. Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
  5. Nobody even pretends it's a normal town, but they still somehow manage to keep it secret. (ETA: And it's neither The Village nor Smallville) Eureka.
  6. The hot blonde ass-kicking villain is pretty seriously obsessed with the hot dark-haired ass-kicking heroine -- in modern times. Birds of Prey (TV, not comic).
  7. Things stay about the same for the protagonists for the first half episode or so, then it's rapidly downhill for at least three seasons. Battlestar Galactica.
  8. The XO is God. Babylon 5.
  9. The direct opposite of the traditional phallic SF starship. Stargate SG-1/Atlantis.
  10. Like Angel, but not set in the USA and without the optimism and upbeat mood. Ultraviolet (the TV series, not the execrable movie).

6. My first guess was DEBS, but dammit, that's a hot dark-haired ass-kicking villain pretty seriously obsessed with the hot blonde ass-kicking heroine.

So I'm going for Birds of Prey.
