Yes. It's just another step on a road to making LJ all about the advertisements, and it's getting rather close to the point on that road where I don't want to be here any more.

I Dumped LJ last month on the basis that the slow degradation of software engineering quality at LJ is not something I wish to support with my money any more.

You can just pay for one month if you can't find yourself a Dreamwidth invite code and want to start cheaply - see the Dreamwidth FAQ: What are paid accounts?

I already have an account on Dreamwidth, I just haven't been using it.

Also, the specific issue that you complained about then seems to have been fixed.

Yep - it has. Then they broke the RSS syndication (and I dunno if it's fixed, probably by now).

It's not any single event - it's the general downward curve in reliability and customer focus.
