Getting Helena Wells' voice right is surprisingly hard. She has a terrible tendency to morph into Vala from SG-1.

I keep going "Aagh!", deleting a sentence and rewriting it. HG does have her own voice, I'm just having problems consistently staying in it.

Thinking about it, HG sounds a lot like Vala in the "I got a gold star" scene in the show itself.
Anyway, the post-finale-fixit story just got finished at slightly over 12k words. Now to let it stew for a day or two before reading and fixing.
