Cold

It's cold. Thermometer here says -19°C (-1°F, for the USAnians), but I think it's overly optimistic since the sensor is only a handspan from the window and some heat bleeds out. It was cold enough to make the leather in my coat go stiff and the display on my phone go wonky. Not really the kind of weather for long walks, if you can avoid them.

Ha! It's been -25 here for the past few days and they've promised -30 for New Year's Eve. Great...:P just the sort of weather where you can't breathe unless you've wrapped a thick scarf at least three times around your nose and mouth. Brrr.

And the sort of weather in which my crazy brother goes fishing. He's been out doing that in -40 once or twice, and he says that some time he wants to go to those parts of Siberia that regularly get down to -60 or so just to see what it's like.
