You're not alone. I've seen reviews of stories where people not only saw computer RPG slashsign, but went on to write epic series about it. In fact, I've seen reviews of computer RPG-based slash that claimed the protagonists were horribly out of character and anyway, there wasn't time in the course of the game for them to have been doing the things they were supposed to be doing in the story.
Actually, come to thing of it, I've seen reviews of console fighting-game slash that claimed the characters were ooc. How can fuzzy bunches of pixels that punch each other and fall over possibly be ooc? (By getting involved in slash h/c rather than punching each other and falling over, I suppose. Makes sense.)
What I was doing reading reviews of game slash is a question we aren't discussing here.
