When booking tickets to England, I was informed that there are no longer any flights at all going directly from Stockholm to Gatwick. Damn it, now we'll have to go through London :-(
I know how you feel. The bastards quit flying from Helsinki to Gatwick after Sept 11. But hey, at least you guys get Ryanair--it's so cheap that I often take a ferry over to Sweden so I can fly inexpensively to Stansted (although Stansted *is* hell).
RyanAir would more than triple the trave| time (we live close to the main airport and a long way from the boondocks one RyanAir uses), and after taxes and added transportation in England and here, it's not that much cheaper any more.
