Haven't done much. Been home with a headache, mostly. Watched Sapphire and Steel Assignment Two. It's a weird series, that one.

Oh, it's a good one, Assignment Two - although I think it could lose an episode or two. I think my favourite one is Assignment Four, however. (I'm assuming these are the new DVDs you're watching? We've been working through them too - M. had never seen them before, which surprised me.)

Hope your headache's clearing.

Yes, it's the DVDs. Although so far I've only bought the first box, with Assignments 1-3. I think I'll be buying the second one as well. And I'll have to write a fic where Sapphire and Steel show up in Sunnydale some time.

And rather than clearing up the headache keeps getting worse. I don't like this :-(

I'd certainly recommend the second box set - I think the three stories on it are amongst the best. I'd love to see the Sunnydale/S&S story!! Have you read the B7/S&S story in 'Refractions'? Quality stuff.

I'm sorry about the headache - I get sinusy-migrainey-stress things from time to time that stretch on. The only thing I've found is to go and sleep it off and try to unwind.

No, I haven't looked at Refractions at all. Kathryn's and my tastes are not very similar at all, usually, so I haven't bothered. What's the name of the story?

It's called 'Irregularity', and it's by Russ Massey. And it's linked (I hope) from this page.

Now I've read it. I didn't much like it, which was no surprise since I usually don't like Russ' stories. I'll just havev to write my own. There is this really obvious SaS/Buffy thing that's been hanging around my head for a while now...

Interested that you didn't like it - I remember thinking it was a clever premise (thinking back, it could be one of the first crossovers I ever read), and that I liked the twist at the end enormously. What didn't you like about it?

Any clues as to where your own crossover is set...?

Mainly there's just something about Russ' style of writing that just rubs me the wrong way. A matter of taste, I think. The reason for Sapphire and Steel appearing was quite clever, and the twist was nice. In between that I found it flat and emotionless.

Sunnydale, of course :-) There certainly have been enough messing about with dimensions and timelines to warrant an appearance of the agenty pair.
