Unforeseen consequences

Why didn't I realize in advance that taking a silversmithing course would give me a whole new field to buy tools for? Luckily for my wallet, the one and only specialist in such tools in this country is the sort of company that only wants customers who use Windows.

Silversmithing, take 2

Today was even more relaxing than last week, since I had to think even less. I spent our two and a half hours by taking a piece of copper plate and shaping it into an open cone, which introduced me to the techniques of sawing metal and hard soldering. Next week I'll solder the cone to the bowl and polish the result. After that, this piece will be finished.
